KODIAK Remote Terminals
PolarSat offers three types of remote terminals. The
types vary in functionality, beginning with the most robust and
sophisticated unit. From there, the units vary in functionality
and cost. Each unit provides a level of service that allows the
operator to select the appropriate unit based upon the service need.
The types of remote terminals are:
KODIAK-RT
The KODIAK-RT remote terminal is a standalone unit that supports
the complete suite of value added IP features. It is recommended
for enterprise customers that intend to support high speed data,
voice and video teleconferencing applications. Flexible return channel
speeds of 144Kbps to 2Mbps are supported.
KODIAK-ST
The KODIAK-ST offers the small office the lowest cost of entry to
get two-way services by satellite. It provides LAN users fast internet
and IP multicast services.
KODIAK-RX
The KODIAK-RX is a satellite receiver without a satellite return
path. This terminal is ideally suited for fast data and IP Multicast
services to LAN users.
