PolarSat signs New VSAT contract with
GDLNG
Montreal, Quebec,
Canada, February 10, 2006 – PolarSat is proud to announce
that it has received a major contract from Guangdong Dapeng LNG
Company Ltd. in China for the supply of a FlexiDAMA hub and remote
terminals.
PolarSat’s equipment will enable GDLNG to use VSAT links to
connect SCADA terminals, the Hub station, and nine (9) remote sites
that are along the natural gas pipeline between the sea port and
the power plant. PolarSat’s equipment will provide high reliable
service to this real-time industrial control application.

FlexiDAMA uses SCPC-DAMA satellite access technology to provide
full mesh circuit and packet switched connectivity with dynamic
in-circuit bandwidth-on-demand to provide maximum flexibility and
bandwidth efficiency. Further, the company’s SkyIP (IP-based
technology) offers remote offices simplicity and scalability across
a wide range of telecommunications services, including Internet
access, LAN/WAN interconnects, voice, data, and on-demand video
teleconferencing.
