PolarSat Announces completion of system certification testing of VSATPlus 3 for use in PetroChina's VSAT network.

Montreal Canada, June 11, 2010 – PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT communication equipment, today announces the successful completion of VSATPlus 3 system testing and the certification for its immediate use in PetroChina's network.  This concludes more than 7 months of live operation of PolarSat's VSATPlus 3 VSAT equipment in support of PetroChina's Lan-Cheng-Yu pipeline.

The VSAT network has expanded beyond just emergency response to support ongoing pipeline operation and equipment monitoring and control.  This network is a key element in the overall system that delivers constant communications to the most remote locations.  The VSATPlus 3 provides a predictable response time that supports Voice, SCADA, Video monitoring applications.  The certification process ran a wide variety of concurrent applications in a variety of environmental conditions.

Pipeline communications have unique communication requirements including extremely high network availability in demanding environmental conditions.  The VSATPlus 3 performed extremely well under these challenging conditions and had virtually a 0% packet transfer loss rate.  The VSATPlus 3 provides integrated support for a wide range of applications through multiple networks connections, mesh connectivity, built-in QoS to ensure mission critical SCADA data always gets through, along with geographic redundancy to automatically route traffic to an alternate gateway.

The VSATPlus 3 system provided effective communications links from the remote locations to the main station as well as between the remote locations. The VSATPlus 3 demonstrated hub-less full mesh connectivity of user traffic including; Voice over IP, IP Video distribution, Data file transfers, Internet/Intranet and email.

The VSATPlus 3 will be displayed at the PolarSat booth located in the Canadian Pavillion # 3H1-12 at the CommunicAsia 2010 exhibition being held at the Singapore Exposition Center, Singapore June 15th-18th 2010.
