PolarSat Announces Completion of system acceptance and 6 months of operational testing of VSATPlus 3 disaster relief network by Beijing Silver Wanlink.

Montreal Canada, February 11, 2010 – PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT communication equipment, today announces the successful completion of system acceptance testing and 6 months of live operation of a disaster relief VSATPlus 3 VSAT network.  The VSAT network has been established to prepare against future emergencies and natural disasters.  This regional network provides the forestry service early warning and fault tolerant communications in the remotest regions.  This network is a key element in an overall system for the notification of incidents, coordination, reporting and dispatching of resources that enables the local and regional government agencies to deal with a disaster quickly and effectively.

"The VSATPlus 3 system handles all of the users’ voice, video and email traffic while not requiring a big hub which makes it a very cost effective solution," stated Mr. Li, President of Beijing Silver Wanlink. The VSATPlus 3 system provides effective communication links from the remote locations to the main station as well as between the remote locations. The VSATPlus 3 demonstrated hub-less full mesh connectivity of user traffic including; Voice over IP, IP Video distribution, Data file transfers, Internet/Intranet and email.

The VSATPlus 3 will be displayed at the PolarSat booth #1450 at the Satellite 2010 exhibition being held at the Gaylord National Convention Center, National Harbor Maryland March 16th-18th 2010.

VSATPlus 3 salient features include hubless operation of mesh connectivity, Turbo Coding, integrated IP protocol enhancements, and Bandwidth-on-Demand functionality.  The VSATPlus 3 builds upon PolarSat’s 25+ years of satellite modem experience to continue to provide a robust and reliable MF-TDMA, full mesh, hubless product.
