BAY-SAT/POLARSAT TEAM COMPLETES NETWORK ACCEPTANCE TESTING OF THE IP VSAT SUDAN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL NETWORK UPGRADE

 

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, March 3, 2016. PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT modem technology, is pleased to announce that together with their teammate German BAY-SAT Engineering and Technologie GmbH team have completed the VSAT network acceptance testing  (NAT) for a VSATPlus®3 satellite Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications network.  The network can now carry application traffic like VHF Extended Range voice, ADS-B, Radar, Telephony, AFTN traffic for the air traffic control communications network in Sudan.  This network is a strategic element within the Civil Aviation Authority of Sudan’s (SCAA) vision to continue to improve its overall Air Traffic Control systems.

PolarSat receives VSAT expansion order from Navigation Aeronav Inc. for supporting ADS-B traffic in the Democratic Republic of Congo Air Traffic Control Network

 

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, February 8, 2016 – PolarSat, a privately-held Canadian company focused on the development and manufacture of satellite communications equipment, is pleased to announce that it has received a contract from Navigation Aeronav Inc. of Pointe-Claire, Quebec for an expansion of the existing satellite communications system.

This network will provide new stations to link 3 airports (Matadi, Boende, and Isiro) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These new sites are in support of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) traffic. This new ADS-B service is added to the existing network which supports voice communications (ATC controllers to ATC controllers and ATC controllers to pilots via VHF radios) and data communications (AFTN messaging, Intranet LAN). The network will be expanded to more than 18 stations with an additional 2 optional stations.
