Montreal, Canada, March 8, 2016 – PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT communication equipment, announces today the receipt of a 96 VSATPlus 3® modem order for an unnamed customer in Asia. The successful operation of VSATPlus 3® in the governmental sector drove its selection. The equipment is for immediate delivery.

BAY-SAT/POLARSAT TEAM COMPLETES NETWORK ACCEPTANCE TESTING OF THE IP VSAT SUDAN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL NETWORK UPGRADE

 

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, March 3, 2016. PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT modem technology, is pleased to announce that together with their teammate German BAY-SAT Engineering and Technologie GmbH team have completed the VSAT network acceptance testing  (NAT) for a VSATPlus®3 satellite Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications network.  The network can now carry application traffic like VHF Extended Range voice, ADS-B, Radar, Telephony, AFTN traffic for the air traffic control communications network in Sudan.  This network is a strategic element within the Civil Aviation Authority of Sudan’s (SCAA) vision to continue to improve its overall Air Traffic Control systems.

PolarSat receives VSAT expansion order from Navigation Aeronav Inc. for supporting ADS-B traffic in the Democratic Republic of Congo Air Traffic Control Network

 

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, February 8, 2016 – PolarSat, a privately-held Canadian company focused on the development and manufacture of satellite communications equipment, is pleased to announce that it has received a contract from Navigation Aeronav Inc. of Pointe-Claire, Quebec for an expansion of the existing satellite communications system.

This network will provide new stations to link 3 airports (Matadi, Boende, and Isiro) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These new sites are in support of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) traffic. This new ADS-B service is added to the existing network which supports voice communications (ATC controllers to ATC controllers and ATC controllers to pilots via VHF radios) and data communications (AFTN messaging, Intranet LAN). The network will be expanded to more than 18 stations with an additional 2 optional stations.

BAY-SAT/PolarSat team wins competitive bid to upgrade Sudan Air Traffic Control Network.

 

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, October 1, 2014, PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT modem technology, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as part of the German BAY-SAT Engineering and Technologie GmbH team, to supply equipment, and technical services for a VSATPlus®3 satellite Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications network. This network is to upgrade the existing air traffic control communications network in Sudan. PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in hubless full mesh VSAT communication modem technology, announces today the successful demonstration of Mesh Adaptive Coding and Modulation (Mesh-ACM) for its industry leading VSATPlus®3 product.  Mesh-ACM provides optimized bandwidth utilization combined with high availability. While Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) has been widely deployed in DVB-S2 based star systems it has proved too difficult to implement in mesh systems, until now. The VSATPlus®3 modem adjusts the modulation and coding to any other node in the network dynamically to support changing channel characteristics.

PolarSat received over $1 million in VSAT expansion orders from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China

PolarSat Inc. the technology leader in full mesh hubless VSAT communication modem technology, is pleased to announce that it has received over $1 million in orders from General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) for the equipment supply, and technical services for its VSATPlus family of MF-TDMA satellite communications equipment. The equipment will expand the existing network to over 400 sites occupying a complete 54MHz transponder over 20 carriers.
